Album Cover Research

These are 3 album covers that I like, I feel that taking inspiration from these will help me and my group to create our own album cover. 

The first album cover is by "SLAVES". I really like the simplicity of the cover as well as how the dogs are the main feature of the design, i also have a dog and if we do decide to do something similar i feel like it would be a good idea since we would already have one of the features needed. One of the best features of the album is the bright colours which I feel really attract the audience as it catches their attention. The logo of the band is positioned in the top left corner which goes against the normal codes and conventions of an album cover, which could also be a feature that stands out as it goes against the target audience's expectations. 

The second album cover is by "Imagine Dragons". This album cover is one of my favorites due to the overall look of the piece. I really like the scenic background and how the model on the cover is floating directly in the middle as the main feature. Both really compliment each other and semantically represents a sense of solitude or peace and tranquility. The album follows the expected codes and conventions of an album cover with the name of the band in the middle to fulfill the target audience's expectations. 

The third cover is be "Black Peaks". I chose this album cover because of the abstract style and how minimalist the overall design is. I would take inspiration from the editing for example, how the model's eyes are copied and pasted and slowly fade to give a sort of his face coming off which i like due to the shock factor. I also think this has been done to attract new listeners do their album as the album cover looks interesting and the audience would perhaps want to find out more about the band. The actual font for the band is very interesting and would like to also note it for our group blog's decision when making our album cover.
